Application
This repair kit is suitable for almost all BC inflators.
All valves and O-rings are suitable for use in seawater.
Valves, grease and O-rings are made in Germany.
With this kit you remain independent from service centers and can help yourself or fellow divers whenever necessary.
The 5 g tube of silicone grease is sufficient for many hundreds of applications.
The valve inserts, often referred to as "Schrader valves", are nickel-plated and therefore highly resistant to corrosion.
Note
The work is straightforward but should always be carried out carefully and without rushing.
Check the condition and function of all seals and valves after servicing and before every dive.
Valves are often heavily corroded and may be difficult to remove. Do not use excessive force.
Soaking the valve in warm vinegar water for approximately 10 minutes often helps loosen seized valves.
Typical faults:
A leak while the inflator hose is connected usually indicates a defective O-ring in the hose coupling.
Air escaping while the inflator hose is disconnected is often a sign of a defective valve.
